Banff Gondola is located on Sulphur Mountain in Banff, Alberta, just minutes from downtown Banff and within the world-renowned Canadian Rockies. The iconic bi-cable gondola spans 1,560 metres with an elevation gain of 698 metres, providing visitors with breathtaking views and a unique mountain experience.
Since 2012, Rocky Mountain Lift Services & Supplies Inc. and Rigging Specialties have partnered with Banff Gondola to provide specialized ropeway services, aerial lift maintenance support, and technical expertise. Our work has included non-destructive testing (NDT), wire rope inspections, haul rope changes, tower maintenance, counterweight tensioning, Elaskon lubrication application, haul rope shortening, and annual gondola maintenance.
In addition to field services, we have supplied a wide range of gondola and lift maintenance equipment, rigging supplies, and ropeway components, including 3T lifting jacks, liners, door cables, roller pins, Fatzer track ropes, slings, and latches.
