Panorama Mountain Resort is located in southeastern British Columbia within the Purcell Mountains. Founded in 1962, the resort began with a single rope tow servicing the run now known as “Old Timer” and has since grown into one of Canada’s premier year-round mountain destinations.
Since 2013, Rocky Mountain Lift Services & Supplies Inc., in partnership with Rigging Specialties, has supported Panorama Mountain Resort with specialized ropeway services, ski lift maintenance, and technical expertise. Our work has included rope changes, rope splicing, rope exchanges, bull wheel bearing replacements, rope shortening, gearbox servicing, and non-destructive testing (NDT) to help ensure safe and reliable lift operations.
We have also supplied a wide range of aerial lift maintenance equipment, wire rope components, and rigging solutions, including Skilift cable, winch cat cable, splice tape, PUR cable, speed wheels, splice kits, Fatzer haul rope, pulley blocks, HIT16 systems, slings, lever hoists, gearbox kits, Kohma digital wide-mouth calipers, and Magna chain hoists.
