Mount Sima is a year-round mountain recreation destination located approximately 15 km from Whitehorse in Yukon, Canada. The resort offers winter skiing and snowboarding, as well as summer mountain biking, making it a popular four-season outdoor destination.
Mount Sima operates two lift systems, including a fixed-grip quad chairlift and a handle tow, providing access to the resort’s terrain throughout the year.
Since 2017, Rocky Mountain Lift Services & Supplies Inc. and Rigging Specialties have supported Mount Sima with specialized ropeway services, ski lift maintenance, and technical expertise. Our work has included rope shortening, operator and maintenance training, non-destructive testing (NDT) of wire ropes and lift components, tower and line maintenance, and bull wheel inspections and repairs.
We have also supplied essential aerial lift maintenance equipment and rigging components, including wedgelocks and handle tow cables.
