Named after John Norquay in 1904, Mt. Norquay Ski Resort has been a destination for skiing since 1926. Rope tows were introduced in 1942, followed by the resort’s first chairlift in 1948. Today, the mountain features 60 runs serviced by three quad chairlifts, one double chairlift, and a magic carpet.

Since 2013, Rocky Mountain Lift Services & Supplies Inc. and Rigging Specialties have worked with Mt. Norquay, providing specialized ropeway services including rope changes, de-tensioning for rope shortening, bearing changes, roller repairs, communication line installations, NDT inspections, splice work, and the supply of rigging equipment and materials such as haul rope, brake forks and holders, lift hooks, and PUR cables.
